Fryd Bird Reviews
Just tried Fryd Bird after seeing it in a Reddit post. Was soooooo good. Food was flavorful and the ladies working there were so nice. We got the 2 piece, garlic chicken sandwich, epic fries, mozzarella sticks and chicken and rice. Portions are huge. My favors were the epic fries and mozzarella sticks. Classic fried chicken was legit too though. I'm from Texas originally and am picky about fried chicken. Will definitely be coming back.
I stopped into this spot because I needed to use the bathroom. I decided to make a purchase in return. I got a tender roll with buffalo sauce. I paid about $6.00. Very clean, menu seems pretty good so I'd definitely give it another try when I'm in the area. Service was an 8/10.
Stopped by Fryd Bird for a quick dinner. We sat outside in the patio, but the inside, but there is seating inside as well. They've made it kind of cute inside. This is a counter service restaurant, and they were kind of slow, and there weren't too many other people. We had chicken sandwiches with waffle fries. The chicken has a slightly unique flavor. I can't place my finger in it--maybe there is a hint of Middle Eastern spices. It's served on grilled Texas toast. We liked it.
The one word that describes this place is... desolate. Arrived at 1215 on a Thursday. Nobody in the parking lot. Nobody outside eating. Entered, nobody in the restaurant. Worker popped out immediately ready to take order though, so that was good. I got an Original sandwich and my friend got a 5pc chicken tender, both with fries. The sandwich was very good. Chicken was crispy, but not just all batter. Just perfect. The 5pc was also good, and too much for the friend to eat in one sitting. The ambiance was absolute blah, but that isn't what we were there for. We took our time eating and nobody came in the whole time. I'm not sure if everyone stays in these days because prices are high or what. But this is someplace that I would definitely return to.
We were the only customers when arrived. Food took about 10 minutes to be cooked fresh. The original batter chicken was perfectly crisp and added flavor to the chicken. The fries and waffle fries were the best. The grilled chicken sandwich was made with chicken tenders with lettuce, cheese, mayo and dill pickle slices. Even the bread was perfectly toasted. I highly recommend eating here if you're hungry for chicken. The interior is a typical small restaurant and was very clean.
